Serving on the A3H Board for several decades now, representing Kauai, gives me a way to bring that Kauaʻi perspective into a statewide organization. To me, a trade association is about having a trusted network — people who can share information, solve problems, and work together when our industry or our communities face challenges. A3H helps give individual businesses a stronger collective voice while still respecting what makes each island and each community unique.”

To me, that is the heart of a trade association: communication, collective representation, shared resources, and the understanding that we can accomplish things together that would be difficult for any one company to accomplish alone. Our members live and work in these islands. Their employees, families, customers, and businesses are part of our communities. My role on the Board and as Executive Director is to help connect those voices and turn shared needs and ideas into action that benefits both our industry and Hawaiʻi.”
